McLaren Valley
McLaren Vale is a town located in the southern region of Australia, approximately 35km from the city of Adelaide. The wine industry has flourished and been cultivated in this area since 1839. As a result, there are still ancient vineyards here with vines that are over 150 years old and still in production. What makes McLaren Vale special is its natural diversity in soil fertility, leading to a rich diversity in wine production. Additionally, the region enjoys a mild, Mediterranean climate with distinct four seasons throughout the year.
Thanks to these characteristics, grapes in McLaren Vale are relatively small in size with thick skins and thin pulp. These grapes are essential materials that contribute to the rich and vibrant color of the wine, as well as the complex layers of intertwined aromas that culminate in a powerful explosion of flavors on the palate. The majority of wineries in McLaren Vale are small family-owned businesses, ensuring that the quality and originality of the wine are preserved over decades.
